Steel is an indestructible and practical medium,
as it is not only the principle building material used in
this wonderful historic building, but also by its very definition
‘steel’ seemed to fit the genre of the bar and
indeed the owners themselves! Thus the name was forged.
 The
concept of Steel-Worx came about as we could see the very
real opportunity to open a different style of restaurant and
bar in the township.
Methven already had the Pubs and a host of different kinds of restaurants. In Steel-Worx
we created a bar that has a city style feeling, yet is still
very much part of Methven - sophisticated yet friendly, cozy
yet cool.
